Retraction of online stories published Wednesday morning

Dear Bossier Press-Tribune online readers,

Due to ongoing website issues, unauthorized links to websites unassociated with the Bossier Press-Tribune and Specht Newspapers, Inc. were inserted into all stories that were published Wednesday online at www.bossierpress.com. After being alerted to the problem late Wednesday afternoon, we have removed all of the unauthorized links and are working with our hosts to solve the problem.

We apologize for any problems these hacks caused you, today, or in the past few weeks with sudden shutdowns or story link failures. We, at the Bossier Press-Tribune, are a community newspaper who believes in highlighting the good going on in Bossier Parish and would never post anything similar to the types of links that were inserted into our articles. We are currently assessing all options to permanently resolve our online problems.

Again, we apologize for this issue.
