Northwest Louisiana’s fashion icons will be out to play on the eve of
the Oscar’s at the nonprofit Robinson Film Center’s annual red-carpet event!
While the Academy is busy tallying awards, RFC supporters will be dancing the night
away to Windstorm and special guest DJ’s. There will be awards for the fashionable film
lovers, a silent auction featuring Hollywood classics (and more), plus custom cocktails
and food from Food Prize-winning chef Tootie Moorison.
Attendees are encouraged to wear their finest movie-inspired fashion, whether it’s a look
from “Inception”, a Grace Kelly classic from “To Catch a Thief” or the chainmail dress
from “Beyond Thunderdome”. Sponsorships are still available, and Platinum, Gold and
Silver Sponsors get the full Hollywood treatment with hair and makeup by the stars at
Chemistry Hair Salon in Shreveport.
“I spent two decades living and working in Hollywood, and I believe the Robby’s stacks
up against any party I’ve been to out there,” says Rich Hansil, interim Executive Director
at RFC. “This is a chance for us to thank our audience with a night of elegant fun and
fashion. And of course, every ticket and sponsorship go towards a great cause:
providing K-12 education programs to local schools, bringing in films you can’t see
anywhere else, and providing workforce development to our region.”
