PLAIN DEALING — Memorial services for Mr. Rickey David Malone, age 62, will be held Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 1:00 PM in Chalybeate Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Deryl Jones officiating under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Plain Dealing, LA.
Family will receive friends from noon until service time at the church.
Mr. Malone was born April 7, 1951 in Springhill, LA to Jewel Edwin and Mary Oleta Hilburn Malone and passed away September 17, 2013 in Plain Dealing, LA. He was a lifelong resident of Plain Dealing, LA; a member of Chalybeate Springs Baptist Church and a heavy equipment operator for 25 years. Mr. Malone was an avid outdoorsman, loved gardening and his special dogs.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Janel May and brother, Charles Malone.
Mr. Malone is survived by his son, John “Bubba” Malone and wife, Kristi of Minden, LA; daughter Tammy Ann Howard of Bossier City, LA; seven grandchildren, Brittany Kaye Howard, Dylan Johnson, Cody Johnson, Colton Slade Malone, Piper Elizabeth Malone, Kelsi Lynne Lofton, Kayce Jewel Malone; two great grandchildren, Jace and Preston; brothers and sister, Mary Jewel Brown of Bossier City, LA, Tommy Malone of Pollock, LA, Irene Giles of Bossier City, LA, Sherry Rodgers of Hughes Springs, TX and fourteen nieces and nephews.
