The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning on Monday, September 8, 2025, there will be a total road closure on Clyde Fant Parkway in Shreveport at the Jimmie Davis Bridge (LA 511) overpass.
This road closure is scheduled to be in place for approximately two weeks, and is necessary to allow the contractor for the ongoing $360 million Jimmie Davis Bridge replacement project to perform roadway repairs on Clyde Fant Parkway.
Motorists should plan alternate routes while the road closure is in place.

Restrictions/Permits: Total road closure. All vehicles will need to utilize an alternate route.
Alternate Route: Appropriate detour signage will be in place.
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
