ROAD CLOSURE: LA 72 (Old Minden Rd.) near I-20 in Bossier City (I-20 rehab project)

The Louisiana Department of Transportation advises motorists that beginning on Monday, June 17, 2024, LA 72 (Old Minden Road) in both directions in Bossier City near the I-20 interchange will be closed.

This closure is scheduled to last for approximately one week, and is necessary to allow for the relocation of a water line and installation of a pipe related to the ongoing I-20 major rehabilitation project.

Access to local driveways and streets will be maintained during the road closure. Through traffic will need to utilize an alternate route.

Restrictions/Permits: Total road closure at the specified location. All vehicles traveling through on Old Minden Road will need to detour.

Alternate route: Detour signage will be in place.

This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
