Funeral Services for Robert Edward Williams, Sr., 83, of Bossier City, LA,, formally of Hornbeck, LA. will be held on Monday, September 02, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Prewitt’s Chapel Baptist Church with Bro. Huey Haymond, Rev. John D. Brown and Rev. Nicky Hilton officiating. Burial will follow in the Prewitt’s Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Sunday, September 01, 2013, at 5:00 PM at Warren Meadows Funeral Home, Many, LA.
Robert Edward Williams was born on Tuesday, March 25, 1930 in Sabine Parish, LA. He passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at his home in Bossier City,LA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Catherine Hilton Williams; sisters, Mae Behan, Fern Simmons; brothers, Dow Williams, Sam Williams and Jess Williams.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Williams of Bossier City, LA.; daughters, Sue White and husband Rick of Westlake, LA., and Deborah Mosley and husband Joe of Benton, LA.; son, Robert Williams, Jr. and wife Marcia of West Monroe, LA.; sister, Daisy Likes and husband Bob of Nacogdoches, TX.; special brother-in-law, Don Fletcher of Warrington, TX.; grandson, Justin Adkisson of Jackson, MS.; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers will be Rodney Williams, Ronald Brown, Justin Adkisson, Duncan Williams, Kevin Klepzig and Steve Corley.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Robert Likes, Sr., Robert Likes, Jr., Gene Cabra, Ray Airhart, Anthony Williams and Steve Williams
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Prewitt’s Chapel Cemetery or to a charity of one’s choice.
