Robinson named Troop G commander

On Friday, May 6, 2016, Colonel Mike Edmonson, Louisiana State Police Superintendent, named Captain Steve Robinson as the commander of Troop G in Bossier City.  Captain Robinson had been serving as the interim Troop Commander since April 18, 2016.

StatePoliceLogoCaptain Robinson began his law enforcement career in January of 1985 with the Bossier Sheriff’s Office.  After 5 years with the Bossier Sheriff’s Office, Robinson pursued a career with LSP.

In January of 1990, Robinson began serving the citizens of Louisiana as a Louisiana State Trooper.  Robinson worked in patrol, criminal intelligence, and gaming during his tenure as a Trooper.  In November of 2000, Robinson was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in patrol and served 5 years as a road supervisor before being promoted once again to the rank of Lieutenant in May of 2005.  Robinson was the shift supervisor for A-team until he was named Troop G Executive Officer in February of 2011.

Captain Robinson is dedicated to serving the citizens of the Troop G area and is proud to be named your Troop Commander.
