‘Rockets Over the Red’ returns after hiatus

It’s official!  After an eight-year hiatus, “Rockets Over the Red” (the big holiday fireworks show) is returning on Saturday, November 28th at 6:30pm.

Leading up to the big event, festivities will start at the Louisiana Boardwalk at 2pm, with entertainment, food and shopping.

The 2015 “Rockets Over the Red” is all being made possible thanks to a group of several partners including: the Louisiana Boardwalk Outlets; Horseshoe Casino and Hotel, Cumulus Broadcasting; the Cities of Bossier and Shreveport; Durr’s Pyromania Fireworks (locally owned); Shreveport Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau.

KTAL-TV NBC6 will telecast the ‘Rockets over the Red’ fireworks extravaganza live.

Participating in the Friday, November 23rd news conference were Mayors “Lo” Walker, Bossier City & Ollie Tyler, Shreveport; Cumulus G.M. Brandon Beard; Louisiana Boardwalk Outlets G.M. Bill McFadden; SBCTB President Stacy Brown; Horseshoe Bossier City Marketing Director Shelli Briery Murphy, & Durr’s Pyromania Fireworks owner Curtis Elkins.
