Louisiana Boardwalk Outlets is joining with Riverview Park in downtown Shreveport to host Rockets Over the Red from 4 to 7 p.m. Nov. 25.

Louisiana Boardwalk Outlets is joining with Riverview Park in downtown Shreveport to host Rockets Over the Red from 4 to 7 p.m. Nov. 25.

Both viewing areas will feature the largest outdoor Christmas trees in the region as well as live performances of holiday music by local community choirs and school groups, photos with Santa, free gifts for the first 500 children and more. Fireworks are planned for approximately 6:45 p.m. Admission is free. Complete event details are available at www.RocketsOvertheRed.com.

At Louisiana Boardwalk Outlets, there will be performances by local dance and cheer groups, inflatable bounce houses, a Christmas tree-lighting ceremony at 6 p.m., photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, gifts for the first 500 children, snow throughout the evening, and holiday fun courtesy of the Boardwalk’s shops, restaurants, movie theater and carousel. Shops and restaurants at Louisiana Boardwalk Outlets will be open until 10 p.m.

At Riverview Park, festivalgoers can enjoy community performing arts groups, photos with Santa Bob and Mrs. Beth Claus, food trucks, a fundraiser kids’ zone benefiting The Warrior Network, tethered hot air balloon rides, gifts for the first 500 children, and snow falling at 4, 5 and 6 p.m. Tethered balloon ride tickets are $15 to $20. Riverview Park is located at 601 Clyde Fant Parkway in downtown Shreveport.
