BENTON – A memorial service for Roy H. Roberson, II, 65, will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, May 6, 2013 at Rose-Neath’s Bossier Chapel with U.S. Army Honors. Officiating will be Chaplain Tom Edmonds. Visitation will begin at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, prior to the service. Interment will be at a later date.
Roy was born March 26, 1948 in Dallas, TX to Roy H. and Lee Elizabeth Miles Roberson and died June 1, 2013 in Benton, LA. He was a service manager for an auto dealership. Roy was a former member of Deen’s Deputies.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Barney Dean Roberson and Dwight Roberson and sister, Annettee Mascarro.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Barbara Roberson of Benton, LA; daughters, Melissa Jean Shipp and husband Scott of Granbury, TX, Sarah Elizabeth Roberson and fiancé, Raymond Ivy of Garland, TX; stepsons, Bobby Joe Braswell and wife Marie of Rowlett, TX, Steven Braswell and wife Stephanie of Surprise, AZ; sisters, Robbie Lee Cable and Rita D’eoniso, both of Ennis, TX and seven grandchildren.
The family requests memorials to the American Cancer Society in Roy’s memory.
