BENTON – Services for Ruth Ann “Rusty” Wimberly, 66, will be 1 p.m. Thursday, June 6, 2013 at Rose-Neath’s Bossier Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Kendall Docter, pastor of Barksdale United Methodist Church, where Mrs. Wimberly was a member. Interment will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Hall Summit, LA at 3:30 p.m. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 5, 2013 from 5-7 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City, LA.
Mrs. Wimberly was born November 8, 1946 in Bossier City, LA and died June 1, 2013 in Bossier City, LA. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a retired school bus driver for Bossier Parish.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis Myers and Lillian Medlin; brother, Harold Medlin and father-in-law, Teer Wimberly.
Rusty is survived by her husband, Thomas Sherwin Wimberly; sons, Bryan Wimberly, John Wimberly and wife Minnie, Brandon Wimberly and wife Daisy; grandchildren, Miranda, Brianna, Alaina, Bradley, Wyatt, Jessica, Destiny, Kaila and Jaden; great granddaughter, Cali; brother, David Medlin and wife Debbie and nieces, Madison and Megan.
Honoring Rusty as pallbearers will be Billy Larkin, Willie Joe Dyer, Frank Long, Ronnie Duncan, Don Morrison, Donny “Jerry” Wimberly, Mike Wimberly, Buddy Stanley and Keith Hicks.
