BENTON – Ryan Cameron McKoy went home too soon on Monday, August 26, 2013. He was born at Malcom Grow Medical Center at Andrews Air Force Base on October 14, 1990. He leaves behind his son, Quentin and his mother Kirsten Kerry; parents, Shana and Scott Pepiot, and Dewayne and Holly McKoy; siblings Trevor McKoy, Savannah McKoy, Chris Pepiot, and Robbi Pepiot; grandparents Jimmie and Billie Downs, Elsa and James Roberts, Amy McKoy, and Roger and Vickie Hobbs; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by a grandmother, Lana Downs.
Cameron is a 2009 graduate of Benton High School where he played football and ran track. He played football at Louisiana Tech University his freshman year in college. He enjoyed playing all sports (mainly football), playing fantasy football, spending time with his son, and hanging out with his friends and family.
Visitation for Cameron will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 30, 2013 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home on Airline Drive in Bossier City, LA. A celebration of Cameron’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Cypress Baptist Church in Benton, LA. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made in Cameron’s honor to a fund set up at Barksdale Federal Credit Union for Cameron’s son, Quentin Cameron McKoy.
