Mayor Tommy Chandler and Bossier City Public Works Director Mr. Wade Rich wants to make sure that Bossier City has sandbags available in case our area has rain accumulation that would require them. Our local forecast indicates that our area could possibly receive as much as 3 inches of rain in a short period of time, thereby creating flooding conditions for our community. Sandbags are available and can be picked up at 3223 Old Shed Rd. between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. this current rain event is forecast to also produce high winds in addition to the heavy rain, all citizens are encouraged to stay prepared, watchful and safe during this time.
