Saturday afternoon accident on Arthur Ray Teague Parkway claims one life

UPDATE: The driver of the passenger car who was pronounced deceased is identified as 73 year old Peggy Wise of Saline, LA. Wise died yesterday as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.

Original post: On Saturday afternoon February 29, 2020 at approximately 1:24 p.m., the Bossier City Police Department responded to a fatality accident that occurred in the northbound lane of Arthur Ray Teague Parkway at the intersection of Shady Grove Drive in south Bossier City.

A passenger car crossing the northbound lane of the Arthur Ray Teague Parkway from Shady Grove Dr. heading south was struck by a northbound minivan. The driver of the passenger car (a white female) was transported to Ochsner LSU Health in Shreveport where she was pronounced deceased. The Bossier City Police Department Accident Investigation Team responded to investigate the crash.

The Arthur Ray Teague Parkway at the intersection of Shady Grove Drive is currently closed while the crash investigation is underway. The roadway is expected to reopen around 4:45 p.m.
