Dangerous storms developed across portions of eastern Texas late Saturday afternoon moving into northern Louisiana by early evening. Shortly after 7 p.m. Saturday, AEP/Swepco reported that over 5,000 people are without power in their local service area.
In the Shreveport-Bossier area, over 2,500 people are reported to be without power. In East Texas, there are over 2,000 people without power in the Longview area.
Over the next few days, a cold front will be slowly making it’s way toward our area resulting in a forecast of: 60% chance of rain and storms on Sunday, 70%Â chance of rain and storms on Monday and 60% chance of rain and storms on Tuesday.
As the cold front arrives on Monday, a low temperature of 53 degrees with a high of 68 degrees is forecasted. On Tuesday, the forecast calls for a low temperature of 47 degrees with a high temperature of 53 degrees.
