
For nearly a year, many assisted living facilities closed their doors to visitors to help ensure the safety of their residents during the COVID-19 pandemic. Now that most of those residents have been vaccinated, these facilities are tentatively reopening to the public.
In celebration of the Easter holiday, Savannah Grand of Bossier City held it’s very first open event of the year on Friday, April 2.
Residents of Savannah Grand of Bossier City welcomed friends and family to Savannah Grand of Bossier City Easter Extravaganza.
Residents, visitors and Savannah Grand of Bossier City staff enjoyed an afternoon filled with laughter, food, games, face painting, a bounce house, karaoke, an easter egg hunt and pictures with the Easter Bunny himself.
Sarah Aaron, Marketing Relations Director at Savannah Grand of Bossier City, explained that being an assistant living community, they have been among the hardest hit by COVID-19.
But thankfully with restrictions easing and access to the COVID-19 vaccine. Savannah Grand of Bossier City corporate office gave the go ahead to reopen the community to visitors.
“We are so excited to have our very first open event in over a year! We recently received the okay from our corporate office to reopen our visitation. Being an assisted living community, we have been among the hardest hit by the pandemic,” said Aaron.
Overjoyed with seeing how Savannah Grand of Bossier City residents, visitors and staff enjoyed the Easter extravaganza festivities on Friday, April 2. Aaron simply says that it is wonderful to finally be able to see the Savannah Grand of Bossier City residents can finally spend time with their loved ones.
“This is wonderful to see. In terms of our residents being isolated from friends and family. Our residents are finally able to spend time with their loved ones,” said Aaron.
