A Bossier Parish School Board member has been indicted for selling anabolic steroids.

District 5 School Board member Mike Mosura was arrested Wednesday by federal authorities on one count of conspiring to distribute anabolic steroids.

A Bossier City couple, Brant and Julie Landry, have also been indicted.

The indictment says the Landrys operated a “pill mill” focused on illegal performance-enhancing drugs. Authorities allege Mosura was aware pills were being sold at a fitness facility where he worked from 2016 through May of this year.

Mosura is involved in several fitness businesses, including a baseball and softball academy and an Anytime Fitness gym in Shreveport.

Brant Landry, a physical therapist, is accused of manufacturing and possessing steroids with the intent to distribute them. Julie Landry is a Caddo Parish elementary school teacher and operator of Bars and Scars Warehouse Gym on Industrial Drive in Bossier City, is accused of removing steroids from a house targeted by federal authorities before the house was searched.

All three will be arraigned Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Shreveport.
