School of Rock Summer Tour to hit Holiday Lanes in Bossier City, Louisiana – August 8, 2014 from 7-10 pm. Holiday Lanes will host a BACK TO SCHOOL MUSIC FEST and local band, Landry & Company will finish off the show by ROCKING the Lanes!
Every summer, seven School of Rock locations in Dallas, TX hold auditions, to be selected for a coveted slot in the DFW Summer Tour. It is a massive undertaking that results in only accepting the best students in DFW to live the dream of every aspiring musician, and go on tour.
Taking a 15 passenger van with 12 students, 2 instructors, and a trailer, the musicians from Dallas are hitting the road. Stopping in over 12 locations from Texas to Michigan and back, these kids are being given an opportunity many musicians would drool over. And the best part… their live show and performance would blow your mind. If you love Led Zeppelin, Aretha Franklin, Foo Fighters and being able to tell the story of how you saw the next Freddie Mercury perform when he was only 18, then you have to make it out to a show.
WHAT IS SCHOOL OF ROCK?
School of Rock is the Nation’s leading music program for school aged kids leading the way with the philosophy: Music Lessons Done Differently. School of Rock was created in 1998, by a man with a vision. In fact, the movie School of Rock starring Jack Black was based off that very first school. Since then, the school has grown to over 120 schools in more than 7 countries worldwide. And it isn’t hard to see why.
