Second Annual Haughton High “Red Out” Raises Funds For The American Heart Association

IMG_1981In pre-game ceremonies before the Haughton Bucs football game with Captain Shreve Friday night in Haughton, the Haughton Bucs Cheerleaders presented the American Heart Association with a check in the amount of $6,617.00 (representing monies raised through “Haughton Red Out” T-Shirt sales).

The Second Annual “Red Out” was done in honor of Haughton Head Football Coach Rodney Guin who will coach his  final  regular season home game as Haughton Head Football Coach on Friday night.

Coach Guin suffered a major heart attack in the Spring of 2014. Coach Guin has made a miraculous recovery and has now completed two full regular seasons as Haughton Head Football Coach since his illness occurred. Coach Guin was featured on the front page of this past Wednesday’s Bossier Press-Tribune.

In the photos shown, Coach Guin is surrounded by his family, Jill Lucero (Representative from the American Heart Association), Haughton Principal Gene Couvillion and the Haughton Bucs Cheerleaders.
