A second suspect has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of a man that happened back in September.
Detectives with the Bossier City Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit along with members of the U.S. Marshals Violent Offender Task Force took Alonzo Jerome Spires Jr., 19, of Shreveport into custody Monday after obtaining a warrant for his arrest on charges of second degree murder and obstruction of justice. Spires is charged in connection with the murder of Juan Antonio Reyes, 45, of Bossier City who was shot to death Sept. 3 at his residence in the 400 block of Montgomery Street.Â
Spires was booked into the Bossier City Jail. His bond is set at $1,500,000.
The first suspect in this case, Devonta Davis, 17, of Bossier City, was arrested Sept. 5 and faces a charge of second degree murder.
