Residents along a section of south Bossier Parish will be without water beginning Monday, March 21, while repairs are made to a washout on La. Hwy. 157 south of the La. 527 intersection.

Officials said water of the South Bossier Water System will be shut off around 8:30 a.m. Monday in an area from Hwy. 157 at China Nook Rd., to La. Hwy. 154 at the 157 intersection to the Lake Bistineau dam. Officials believe the water will be off most of the day Monday.

Once the water is restored, the system will be placed under a boil advisory. Water system members will be notified when the water quality has been checked and approved.

A section of La. 157 was washed away when flood waters hit the area last week.
