Severe weather and heavy rains impact Bossier City overnight


Severe weather brought heavy rains to our area early Tuesday morning. Several inches of rain has occurred (with more rain expected through the remainder of Tuesday morning).

Flash Flood Watches and Warnings remain in effect.

According to information received from the Bossier City Police Department, the following roads/streets are currently experiencing high water issues:

1.) 1400 block of Airline Drive

2.) Old Minden Road

3.) Shed Road at Tinsley

4.) 1500 block of Barksdale Boulevard

5.) I-220 East off ramp (exit) at Airline Drive

All of these areas have either barricades or marked Bossier City Police units in place.

There are also several residential areas experiencing flooding issues.

Motorists are advised to use extreme caution and not to drive through high water. Travel delays should be expected on your morning commute.
