SHOULDER CLOSURES: I-220 bridge over Red River

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that on Sunday, April 13, 2025, there will be an outside shoulder closure for the I-220 eastbound and westbound bridge over the Red River in Bossier and Caddo Parishes.

This is scheduled to take place from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and is necessary to allow DOTD crews to clean the shoulders of the bridge.

This work will be conducted in a slow-moving operation, so motorists are urged to drive cautiously through the area, and watch for crews and equipment.

Restrictions/Permits: N/A

Alternate Route: N/A

This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Remember to leave plenty of room between you and the vehicle in front of you.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
