Pastor Larry joined the Shreveport-Bossier Rescue Mission in 2015 as General Manager and was appointed as Executive Director in June 2016. Prior to coming to the Rescue Mission, Pastor Larry was the owner of Cornerstone Disposal Service. He currently serves as the Street Pastor at Riverpark Church.

For over 28 years, the Rescue Mission has been under the leadership of Rev. R. Henry Martin. During his tenure as Executive Director, the Mission grew from a small men’s shelter on Texas Avenue to its current shelter for men, women and children on McNeil Street.

“Larry does an outstanding job of looking at the big picture… in bringing the business side and the spiritual outreach piece of the mission together to form a cohesive unit that is able to stand on its own” says Chad Erie, Chairman of the Mission Board of Directors. Under Pastor Larry’s leadership, the Mission has unveiled a new Life Recovery Program that will help men and women recover their identity and break the cycle of poverty. More information on the Life Recovery Program can be found at  http://www.sbrescuemission.com/programs/liferecoveryprogram/.

As the Mission rolls out its new Life Recovery Program, Rev. Martin will continue to serve at the Mission in the role of Community Ambassador.
