The Haughton Lady Bucs finished runner-up in the girls division of the Bossier tournament last week.
The Lady Bucs defeated Ouachita 3-1 in the semifinals before falling to Ruston 4-1 in championship game.
Haughton tied Ruston 1-1 earlier in the tournament.
The Lady Bucs also picked up a District 1-I victory Monday night, 5-1, over Southwood at Tinsley Park.
Hannah Logan led Haughton (3-2-2, 1-1-1) with two goals. Makaylin Lewis, Ciara White and Genet Leist had one apiece.
In another District 1-I girls game Monday night, Parkway fell to defending champion Byrd 2-0. Madelyn Elliott had an outstanding game in goal with 27 saves.
Parkway defeated Airline 4-0 last week. Madison Mitchell and Sara Funderburk had two goals each. Liz Knight had an assist.
Elliott had 15 saves and Funderburk scored in a 2-1 non-district loss to Natchitoches Central.
The Parkway junior varsity finished runner-up in the Gator Cup girls tournament, defeating Neville 3-0, Captain Shreve 1-0 and Caddo Magnet Red 3-0 before losing to West Monroe 3-0 in the title match.
Airline reached the semifinals of the Bossier tournament boys division before falling to Ruston 4-1.
The Vikings defeated North DeSoto 5-0, West Ouachita 3-1 and Ouachita 2-1.
The Vikings’ Gin Paul scored eight goals in he tournament. Kham Nang scored three and Michael Dickson had two assists. Gabe Rodriguez also had an assist.
Cole Edwards had a big save on a penalty kick against Ouachita.
Pau also had a hat trick in Airline’s 6-4 District 1-I victory over Parkway last week. Bryan Medrano scored on a penalty kick. Nang and Rodriguez had one goal each.
Benton went 2-1 in the Bossier tournament, defeating Evangel 3-0 and Ruston 2-1 before falling to eventual champ Sulphur 5-0.
Ethan Parks had a hat trick against Evangel. Sam Vickrey and Carter Parks had one assist each. Mitchell Matthews had three saves.
Parks scored two goals against Ruston, and Sergio Gomez had an assist. Matthews saved 11 shots.
The Benton girls also went 2-1 in the tournament, defeating Ouachita 1-0 and Sterlington 3-0 and losing to Ruston 4-2.
The Haughton boys went 1-2, defeating Bastrop 4-0 and losing to Ruston 4-0 and Evangel 5-4.
The Parkway boys went 1-1-1. They defeated North DeSoto 2-0, tied Ouachita 0-0 and lost to Byrd 4-1.
