The Parkway Lady Panthers handed the Haughton Lady Bucs their first District 1-5A loss 9-4 Tuesday at Haughton.
Haughton dropped to 14-6 overall and 8-1 in 1-5A. The Bucs can move back into a share of the lead Wednesday with a victory at Byrd, which improved to 7-0 with a 4-2 win over Southwood Tuesday.
Parkway improved to 15-10 overall and 8-2 in 1-5A. The Panthers came into the game ranked No. 30 in the latest LHSAA Class 5A power rankings. The top 32 teams generally make the playoffs and the win over Haughton should improve Parkway’s ranking.
