SporTran (Shreveport Transit Management) invites the public to join them at 6:00 PM Thursday, October 7, 2021, for a presentation on Public Transit Innovation in Downtown Shreveport. The event will be held at the SRAC Central Artstation at 801 Crockett Street in Shreveport.

The Shreveport-Bossier public transit service will discuss plans for zero fare ridership in 2022 and the installation and upkeep of several new bus shelters in Downtown Shreveport. The meeting will also include details on SporTran’s new alternative to public transit, SporTran OnDemand. In addition to replacing SporTran’s mobility service, formerly known as LiftLine, OnDemand offers riders a direct route from OnDemand stop to OnDemand stop, bypassing the stops and hubs they don’t need and providing connectivity for rural riders.
