Event Highlights for Opening Week
SHREVEPORT, La. – It’s Fair Time! Final touches are being made on the 120th State Fair of Louisiana that will be opening on Thursday, October 29th. The fair will take place at the Louisiana State Fairgrounds in Shreveport, Louisiana and will run through November 15th. The hours of operation will be 11am to 9pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, and 11am to 10pm on Friday and Saturday. The Fair will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
State Fair Opening Week:
1. Wednesday, October 28th, is the last day to purchase advanced discount gate admission tickets and ride armbands.
2. Thursday, October 29th and Friday, October 30st, Free gate admission before 3pm.
3. Saturday, October 31th is the last day to purchase advanced discount rodeo tickets. Advanced discount rodeo tickets are available at Greenwood Feed, Seed, and Hardware, Paul’s Farm and Garden Supply or at statefairoflouisiana.com.
4. Every day of the fair, Free Parking
5. Advanced Discount Tickets: Advanced discount tickets are now on sale at state fairoflouisiana.com through Wednesday, October 28th.
Concerts scheduled: for the Zintec Remodeling stage this week are:
1. Friday night, October 30th Titus & Company performs at 7:00 pm.
Ary the Vibe performs at 8:00 pm.
Tamara Clark performs at 9:00 pm.
2. Saturday, October 31st Ryan Waters performs at 6:30pm
Colin Stough performs at 8:00pm
3. Sunday, November 1st Anxious performs at 3:00pm
Rockin Redeyes performs at 5:00pm
8 – Track performs at 7:00pm
LRCA Finals Rodeo: (This Friday, Saturday, & Sunday), The Louisiana Rodeo Cowboys Association (LRCA) Finals Presented by Hebert’s Town & Country and Shreveport- Bossier Sports Commission are returning to the State Fair of Louisiana and will take place in Hirsch Colisum. Nightly awards will also be presented following the rodeo on the stage in front of Hirsch Colisum.
The State Fair rodeo times are Friday at 6:30pm, Saturday at 6:30pm, and on Sunday at 3pm. Advanced discount rodeo tickets are now available at Greenwood Feed and Hardware, Paul’s Farm and Garden, or online at statefairoflouisiana.com. All discounts end the day before each performance.

•Denim & Dust, Friday, October 30th from 4:30pm – 6:30pm An exclusive VIP rodeo experience in the Lasso lounge prior to the Friday night 6:30pm rodeo.
•Glitz and Grit, Saturday, October 31st from 4:30pm – 6:30pm An exclusive VIP rodeo experience in the Lasso lounge prior to the Saturday night 6:30pm rodeo. This all-inclusive event features: box seating at the 6:30pm rodeo, catered dinner, live music, and two complementary adult beverages.
•Boots and Buckles, Sunday, November 1st from 12:30pm – 2:30pm An exclusive VIP rodeo experience in the Lasso lounge prior to Sunday afternoon 3:00pm rodeo. Includes great food, live music and a ticket to the LRCA Finals Rodeo, Sunday at 3:00pm.
For the Kids
•Candy Crawl, Saturday, October 31st from 11:00am – 2:00pm. New this year, come early to trick or treat down the midway. For security reasons, no consume masks are allowed. Also, no candy bags and buckets are permitted. Outback Steak House will provide candy bags at four locations. Child admission is only $5.00 for this event.
•Kids Birthday Party Packages and Build-A-Midway Mate are returning this year.
Safety and Security Policies: The State Fair of Louisiana wants to remind fairgoers that many new safety and security policies have been implemented over the last few years such as the youth minor policy that affects children under the age of 18, clear bag policies, and approved items allowed in the fair, just to name few. All bags will be subject to search upon arrival and any bag that exceeds the permitted size will result in denied entry. It’s
