Cynthia Hightower-Jenkins, wife of State Representative Sam Jenkins of District 2 in Shreveport, has passed away.
She was well known as a business consultant in the Shreveport-Bossier area.
In a statement, Rep. Jenkins wrote:
“It is with profound sadness that I share the news that my lovely wife Cynthia Hightower-Jenkins has passed away. She was the strength of our family and showed kindness to everyone she met. She was the wind beneath my wings. God has spoken, Amen.”
Hearing of the loss of Rep. Jenkins wife, Gov. John Bel Edwards issued this statement:
“On behalf of the entire state of Louisiana, Donna and I send our most heartfelt condolences to Representative Sam Jenkins and his family. Sam has become a dear friend and our hearts are with him during this tragic loss.”
