Gov. John Bel Edwards announced Thursday that the state will expand eligibility for the COVID-19 vaccine to new groups of people starting Feb. 22, making 1.6 million Louisianans eligible for the shots.
In addition, anyone between the ages of 55 and 64 with one of 11 specified health conditions, as well as pregnant women of any age, will have access to the vaccines.
