Trailblazer RCD and the Bossier Parish Police Jury will co-sponsor a USDA StrikeForce meeting designed to present information on financial and technical assistance on Thursday, May 19.
Rural residents interested in learning more about low interest loans and government grants are encouraged to attend the 6 p.m. meeting at Galilee Baptist Church, 339 Jones Rd. in Haughton.
Representatives from various agencies will discuss cost-share programs to construct or improve water management or irrigation structures, how to improve resource conditions such as soil quality, water quality and quantity and air and habitat quality.
Also, residents will hear how to implement conservation practices to address natural resource concerns on land, how to enhance and protect forestland resources on private property.
Low interest microloans up to $50,000, direct guarantee farm loans and rural housing programs to purchase, renovate or repair will also be topics.
