The Benton Tigers and Bossier Bearkats picked up junior varsity football wins Tuesday. Benton defeated Northwood 26-0, and Bossier downed Booker T. Washington 16-12.
Brooks Cram scored two touchdowns in Benton’s victory. He returned an interception for a touchdown and scooped up a fumble and scored.
Michael Thomas scored on a screen pass from Jonathan Thompson, and Jeremaine Newton returned an interception 60 yards for a TD.
CJ George forced a fumble and recovered it for the Tigers. Carter Parks kicked two PATs.
John Langston and Aareon Smallwood scored rushing touchdowns in Bossier’s victory. Smallwood, who rushed for 125 yards, raced 65 yards for his TD. Langston, who had 85 yards, scored from 35 yards out.
Michael Taylor added 68 yards rushing for the Bearkats, and Rodney Nelson had 34. Kevin Daniels completed two of three passes for 30 yards. Defensive standouts included Keimun Daniels and Kaleb Ortega. Langston recorded a safety.
