Sub-varsity football: Bossier downs Plain Dealing in JV game


Aareon Smallwood rushed for 140 yards and three touchdowns to lead Bossier to a 38-12 junior varsity victory over Plain Dealing Monday.

Smallwood also had a 65-yard TD reception as time expired in the first half and a tackle for a safety.

John Langston added 85 yards rushing and a TD. Rodney Nelson had 40 yards and a two-point conversion.
Quarterback Kevin Daniels and Xavier Venious added conversions. Daniels completed five of five passes for 95 yards.

Joseph Bush and Melvin Russell each had interceptions. Keimun Daniels had eight tackles and a fumble recovery on special teams. Khaled Algahimhad two tackles and a sack.

Elsehwere, the Benton Tigers lost to the Minden Crimson Tide 14-7 in a freshman game.

C.J. George scored the Tigers’ touchdown, and Carter Parks kicked the PAT.
