Suspect Shot in Officer Involved Shooting in Bossier City

At approximately 10:35 p.m. Bossier City Police received a call to respond to 5101 Venecia at the Villagio Apartments. The call was for a domestic disturbance. When Bossier Police arrived on scene a lady had managed to escape the apt. with her young child. The suspect then barricaded himself inside the apt. The Bossier City Police Negotiations Team was then assigned to the call. During this incident the armed suspect was shot by Bossier City Police. The suspect was transported to Ochsner L.S.U. with non-life-threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported during this incident and the incident has been turned over fully to the Louisiana State Police to investigate.
