Suspect sought in gas station armed robbery

The Bossier City Police Department is investigating an overnight armed robbery at the Raceway gas station in the 2100 block of Old Minden Road.

The suspect reportedly entered the business at about 1:30 a.m. while armed with a handgun and approached a cashier then demanded money from the register. Before fleeing the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect struck the cashier in the head with the gun. Personnel with the Bossier City Fire Department responded to the scene and took the cashier to a local hospital for treatment. Police searched the area and were unable to locate the suspect.

Witnesses describe the suspect as a black male, 5’10 to 6’ tall, 150-170 pounds with a medium build who was wearing a black shirt, black pants, black shoes and a black ski mask over his face and head.
