Suspect wanted in afternoon armed robbery

Bossier City police are investigating an armed robbery that happened Monday afternoon at a personal loan store.

Officers were called to the EZ Money store in the 900 block of Benton Road just before 4 p.m. The suspect reportedly entered the store while armed with a handgun and demanded money from an employee. The employee complied and the suspect fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. The employee was not injured. Officers immediately converged on the scene and attempted to locate the suspect but were unsuccessful.

The suspect is described as a black male with a light complexion, approximately 5′ 11″ tall with a stocky build and clean shaven face.  He was wearing a red knit hat with a visor and a red shirt.
