Two teenagers have been arrested for the shooting death of a Barksdale airman in Green Acres Place last week.
According to multiple media reports, Jareona Crosby, 17, and a 15-year-old male juvenile have been arrested by the Bossier City Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit for second-degree murder in the shooting death of TSgt. Joshua Kidd.
Kidd, 30, of Bossier City, was shot near his home on Parklane Drive in the north Bossier subdivision early Tuesday, Sept. 25.
Each suspect also faces 10 counts of simple burglary of a vehicle and one count of theft of a firearm.
Both were booked into the Bossier City jail on the charges and transported to Ware Youth Center juvenile detention center for housing.
TSgt. Kidd has been enlisted in the US Air Force for 10 years. Barksdale Air Force base was Kidd’s fourth assignment, he was previously stationed in Korea and Germany. He leaves behind a wife, Alyssa, and two-year-old son Beckham.
Late last week, more than 300 people donated to the family online raising over $30,000 dollars in a day. The Green Acres Place neighborhood also lined the main street with flags in honor of Kidd and a prayer vigil was held Thursday, Sept. 27 at Airline Baptist Church. Also, the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office along with Bossier City Police Department and Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office escorted Kidd’s body from Boone Funeral Home in Bossier City to Waskom, Texas early Monday morning.
The case is still being investigated.
