Janet Parker, Executive Director of The Arc Caddo-Bossier, recently received the prestigious NCE Chair’s Award from the National Conference of Executives of The Arc United States.
Throughout Mrs. Parker’s career she has been a staunch advocate for the personal and civil rights of people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.
As Barry Meyer, Executive Director of The Arc Baton Rouge and Past President of National Conference of Executives (NCE), stated, “Embodied in the culture of any exceptional organization is the enduring strength of its leader and the excellence with which they lead. Janet Parker is a consummate example of such a leader.”
The National Conference of Executives of The Arc is a dynamic peer membership organization of Executive Directors and management staff. NCE has approximately 700 chapters with professional leaders of The Arc serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Members work collaboratively to better serve people with disabilities, their families and The Arc organizations.
