The Governor’s Office of Human Trafficking Prevention is proud to announce its latest efforts in the fight against human trafficking during Human Trafficking Prevention Month. These initiatives include the launch of a Victim Outreach Campaign and the premiere of the Tackle Human Trafficking public service announcement (PSA).

The Victim Outreach Campaign provides resources and assistance to individuals affected by human trafficking. The materials, which feature artwork created by youth survivors of human trafficking and designed by Lafayette-based artist Denise Gallagher, are available for download in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese. The campaign is trauma-informed, survivor-centered, and strength-based, addressing all forms of human trafficking. The campaign material will be posted in New Orleans and statewide ahead of the Super Bowl. Agencies and organizations are encouraged to display and share the materials widely.

The PSA features prominent supporters, including Governor Jeff Landry; New Orleans Saints and Pelicans Owner Gale Benson; Super Bowl LIX Community Champions Demario and Tamela Davis; Senator Beth Mizell, and numerous other public leaders and community advocates.

The PSA will air statewide on Cox networks ahead of the Super Bowl. Both the 60 second and 30 second PSA may be viewed here and here.

“Human trafficking is a serious issue that impacts countless individuals across our state and nation daily. Through the Governor’s Office of Human Trafficking Prevention, we have demonstrated a commitment to tackling this important issue and bringing awareness within the State,” said Governor Landry. “The Victim Outreach Campaign and Tackle Human Trafficking PSA are specific efforts to empower Louisianans to join the fight against human trafficking.”
