Bossier City Police Chief Shane McWilliams and Bossier City Fire Chief Brad Zagone today announced the activation a new mobile app that lets Bossier City residents stay better connected to their police and fire departments while at the same time receive immediate information that affects their community.
The Bossier City Public Safety App is now available at no charge for iOS (iPhones and iPads) and Android devices via the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
A key feature of the app allows users to instantly receive emergency push notifications on their smart phones and tablets for such things as traffic advisories, safety alerts and other important notices.
The app provides users with immediate access to public safety information exclusively for Bossier City including police and fire department news releases, information on registered sex offenders and missing children as well as non-emergency contact information for police and fire. The app also allows residents to submit tips directly to the police department regarding suspected criminal activity in their neighborhoods.
