ELM GROVE – Gravesides services for Thomas Ray Johnson, 80, will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in Hill Crest Memorial Park with Rev. Jerry Dean officiating.

Tommy was born on September 26, 1933 to Oscar and Geraldine Johnson and passed away at his home on Sunday, March 16, 2014.

He was an Army veteran and served his country during the Korean War before becoming a successful contractor in the Shreveport/Bossier City area.

He is preceded in death by his father, Oscar Johnson, and his brother, Richard Johnson. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Johnson; his mother, Geraldine Johnson; brother, Robert Johnson; sister, Maxine Maddox and her husband Al; daughter, Raenita Johnson; son, Brent Johnson and his wife Sandra; grandchildren, Kristopher Johnson and his wife Margie, Whitney Coleman and her husband Trey and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews that loved him.

A very heartfelt thank you to his Amedisys Hospice nurses and to Donnie and Wade Gibson for their help and devotion, especially during his illness.
