Thompson Street home damaged in fire

The Bossier City Fire Department responded to a fire this afternoon that heavily damaged a home in the 100 block of Thompson Street.

Firefighters got the call at approximately 4:50 PM. The first unit arrived on scene within four minutes and found heavy smoke and flames coming from the structure’s front windows and eaves. Firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control within nine minutes.

None of the occupants of the home were injured. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
