Detectives the Bossier Sheriff-Police Financial Crimes Task Force have arrested three women for creating counterfeit payroll checks and cashing them at a local business.
40-year old Twanna Monroe Thomas, 37-year old Audrey Jeanette Trotter, and 33-year old Traquisha Lajuane Jones, all of Bossier City, were arrested on charges of monetary instrument abuse. Detectives say the three worked together and used check printing computer software to print multiple fake payroll checks with bank account information from Jones’ former employer. The women then forged the checks and cashed them at a local business this week leaving the business at a financial loss of approximately $2,000.
Detectives were able to locate the suspects since they provided the business with their state issued ID cards when they cashed the bogus checks.
All three were booked into the Bossier City Jail and subsequently transferred to the Bossier Parish Maximum Security Facility.
