Pierre Bossier Mall announced Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill will open its first location in the state of Louisiana at the Bossier City retail spot.

The restaurant will move into a newly constructed 10,000 square foot location near Sears. Construction is slated to begin in summer 2014 and the mall anticipates the restaurant will open by the end of 2014.

“We are thrilled for Pierre Bossier Mall to become Toby Keith’s new home, the first in the state of Louisiana,” said Missy Heanue, Director of Marketing for Rouse Properties, which owns Pierre Bossier Mall. “This is a unique destination tenant that enhances both our dining and entertainment offering, and we believe it will serve as a major attraction within Northwest Louisiana. Toby Keith’s offers an energetic and entertaining blend of music and food that’s truly an experience and makes for a great lunch or night out. We look forward to officially welcoming Toby Keith’s later this year and the lasting impact its presence will have on the mall and the community.”

Named for county singer Toby Keith’s 2003 hit single, “I Love This Bar,” the venue combines traditional Southern, home-cooked fare with a unique country music atmosphere that will feature live music from the area’s most talented up-and-coming artists. The restaurant features an 85 foot full-service bar in the shape of a guitar, a stage for live entertainment, a dance floor, a glass-enclosed VIP room, and two indoor ‘barns’ available for private parties. Among the restaurant’s notable menu items are pulled-pork sandwiches, fried bologna sandwiches, meatloaf and Southern fried Twinkies.

The restaurant is the latest addition to Pierre Bossier Mall. In 2013, the mall announced a lease agreement with Forever 21 to open a 35,000 square foot flagship store, the fashion retailer’s first location in northwest Louisiana.

Pierre Bossier Mall also recently underwent a multi-million dollar cosmetic renovation that included the addition of a new floor, Wi-Fi, a children’s play area and exterior directional signage. The renovation is part of an ongoing effort to enhance the shopping experience for customers and retailers and to position the mall as an attractive destination for national recognized brands.
