Town hall meetings planned for Bossier Parish flood victims


Bossier Parish disaster recovery officials and FEMA representatives will host a pair of town hall meetings to answer questions and concerns of parish residents impacted by the recent flood waters.

Officials will host meetings at the Haughton Fire Station at 224 West McKinley in Haughton on Wednesday, March 30 at 3 p.m., and at Elm Grove Elementary School in the school gymnasium, 1541 Old Hwy. 71 on Thursday, March 31 at 3 p.m.

Both town hall meetings will be open to all Bossier Parish victims of the flooding.

Officials will be on hand to explain the Individual Assistance (IA) programs available from FEMA and the FEMA/state of Louisiana mitigation program. Discussions will also target individual assistance sequence of delivery, the National Flood Insurance Program, private flood insurance and the repetitive loss buy-out program.
