TRAFFIC ADVISORY FOR SATURDAY GARTH BROOKS CONCERTS AT THE CENTURYLINK CENTER
Due to the large amount of vehicular traffic that’s expected at the Garth Brooks concerts on on Saturday, July 30 (two shows – 7 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.) at the CenturyLink Center, the Bossier City Police Department is advising motorists to plan accordingly to help minimize traffic congestion in the area.
Motorists not attending the shows are advised to avoid traveling in the immediate vicinity of the CenturyLink Center before and after the show on Friday and for all of Saturday evening. If travel is necessary, motorists are advised to utilize Barksdale Boulevard and avoid traveling on the Arthur Ray Teague Parkway and Jimmie Davis Bridge during the times mentioned above.
For the Saturday shows, beginning at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, Angelle Drive along with CenturyLink Drive from Walker Place to Reeves Marine Drive will be closed to regular vehicle traffic and open only to shuttle buses, limousines and taxi cabs for passenger drop off and pick up (see attached map).
Also on Saturday night, the circular drive on the west side of the arena will be open only to private vehicles (vehicles other than shuttles, limos and taxis) that will be dropping off and picking up passengers who’ll be attending the two concerts that night.
Bossier City police officers and Bossier Parish Sheriff’s deputies will be on hand in and around the CenturyLink Center to assist with traffic control and security.
