BOSSIER CITY – Services for Troy F. Davis, 78, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Waller Baptist Church. Officiating will be Dr. Mark Crook, assisted by Rev. Casey Hough. Interment will follow at Rose-Neath Cemetery. Visitation will be at Waller Baptist Church on Friday, February 21, 2014 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Troy was born August 15, 1935 in Neeses, SC to Grover H. and Grace Barnes Davis and died February 19, 2014 in Shreveport, LA. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired owner/operator of Davis Car Clinic. Troy was a faithful member of Waller Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bill, Bruce and John Davis; sisters, Idalia Eubanks, Faye Howse, Carol Besseche and Judy Fanning; brothers-in-law, Haskell Fanning, Dan Howse and sister-in-law, Jimmie Lou Davis.
Troy is survived by his wife of 56 1/2 years, Sarah Thurmon Davis; son, Terry Ray Davis; daughter, Debra Lynne Davis Tynan and husband Patrick; grandchildren, Crystal Driskill, Carly Keaton, Tori Tynan, Sean Tynan; great grandchildren, Jayden Driskill, Gracie Driskill, Addison Keaton, Levi Driskill and Grant Keaton; sister, Patsy Davis Miller; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Davis, Sarah Davis and brothers-in-law, Lee Besseche, and W.S. Eubanks.
The family would like to thank nurse Shannon at WK North and the staff at Grace Home for the care and support they gave to Troy.
