The Bossier Sheriff’s Office has found the truck of a missing Benton man in Mississippi.
BSO investigators determined the 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe found wrecked and abandoned in a one-vehicle crash in Yazoo County, Mississippi, located just north of Jackson, belonged to Shawn “Corey” King, 32, of the 2000 block of Chelsy Dr., Benton.
King has been missing since Aug. 3.Â
The vehicle was recently located by the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Office at the 12000 block of Highway 16 near Benton, Miss. Deputies found no one at the scene, and there is no obvious evidence of foul play, Bossier Sheriff’s Office detectives said.
Bossier detectives are traveling to Yazoo County Wednesday to help the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Office with the investigation.Â
King was last seen in the 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe at a gas station near Louisiana Downs around 8:30 p.m. Aug. 3. Shawn was supposed to start a new job in Ruston on Aug. 6, but he had not returned home to get his bag that he had begun to pack for his trip.Â
Corey’s family is concerned with his welfare and encourages anyone who may know of his whereabouts to please contact the Bossier Sheriff’s Office at (318) 965-2203.
