BOSSIER CITY – On Wednesday, August 28, 2013 TSgt Avery W. Stichberry Jr., better known as “Stich”, went to be with our Lord and Savior. After a motorcycle wreck on the 27th of August he passed peacefully in the comforts of his home on the morning of August 28.

Born on September 27, 1967 to Kathryn McGee and Avery Stichberry Sr. at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware. After serving twenty-one years in the United States Air Force he retired through Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier City.

Survived by his loving wife, Gloria Medlin Stichberry, his three children Avery W. Sharp, Heather Lynn Stichberry, Ryan Matthew Stichberry, and three stepchildren Lacy Self, Matthew Shaw and Christopher Fleming, his parents Kathryn Ann McGee and Avery W. Stichberry Sr., his sister Linda Balascio, two grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.

Stich had three true loves in his life, his family, his Harley Davidson motorcycle, and playing pool.

A wake will be held in his honor at Side Pockets Billiards, 2013 Nelson St., Shreveport, LA 71107, on Saturday, September 14th, starting at 2:00 P.M. Please join his family and friends in celebrating Stich’s life.
