Approximately 108 JROTC cadets from high schools throughout Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Mississippi spent a week learning leadership activities, teamwork, physical training, first aid, CPR and water survival skills earlier this month as part of the Leadership Laboratory Activity, formerly known as JROTC Summer Leadership School.

Bossier Schools played host to this program, as it has done for the last 40 years. Cadets stayed in dorms at Barksdale Air Force Base and participated in activities there and at Camp Minden to hone their skills. A graduation ceremony was held June 14 at Bossier High School where cadets that completed Leadership Laboratory Activity received their CPR certification as well as half a Carnegie credit.
